Some segments of The Architecture of Armenia from the Siuni Server.

Armenian architecture is widely recognized as a unique influence and contribution to the advancement of international architecture. From the first Araratian Proto-column Temple of Musasir to the marvel of the Mother Cathedral of Echmiadzin, the Cathedral of Zvartnots or St. Gregory's Cathedral of Ani. Architecture occupies a unique and important place in the rich Armenian heritage and culture. Since time immemorial, Armenians have been compulsive builders and chose to express their ingenuity, creativeness and aspirations predominantly through stone and mortar. It is not a mere coincidence that countless of these monuments have survived to this day, some intact and some in ruin, to assert in their classic dignity the will of their builders to prevail over the ravages of man and nature. Armenian master craftsmen turned the silent stones into living symbols of Life, Will and Vivacity for infinite progress and higher levels of Becoming.
